While the French Chateau detailing of the original house appealed to the owners of this property, the size, condition and quality of the structure did not. By enlarging the footprint slightly, expanding up to a second floor, re-configuring and modernizing the interior and simplifying the exterior detailing, the building gained in space, functionality, scale and elegance.
